Review of Broken Country

What a compelling and heartbreaking story! This book hooked me in from the first chapter. It is part romance and part mystery told between the past and the present. The characters are authentic and captivating and evoke strong emotions. First love is a central theme in the story and how it impacts the relationships and events throughout the book. I originally read this one from the library, but then had to buy a copy for my shelves. This is going to be in the running for my favourite book of the year!
