This is an interesting domestic suspense story. A female hiker is missing on the Appalachian Trail! Valerie is an experienced hiker, so the fact that she is missing is very concerning for her family. We get her POV as well as that of Beverly, the investigator in charge of the search. The third POV comes from retiree Lena, and her connection to the story is very pivotal. I love a good hiking story, and this one is definitely that. As time passes, it becomes more crucial to find Valerie not only due to the length of time she has been missing but also because there might be other factors involved in her disappearance. I enjoyed the three POV’s and the writing style. I was invested in the story and the characters, and was anxious to find out the ending. Definitely an interesting plot!
