Review of If We're Being Honest
I love stories about big, messy, interesting families and this book has a mult-generational family that fits this dynamic perfectly. The Williams family are all gathered for the funeral of the patriarch of their family. They are stunned when a big reveal happens at the funeral. Between adjusting to this news and the happenings in each of their lives they have a lot to discover about themselves and each other. This is a character driven heartwarming novel that enforces the idea that family will ultimately always be there for you. I love character development in a book and this is done well here considering there are multiple characters to learn about. Overall this a feel good story from a debut author. I am definitely looking forward to more books from her in the future.
