Review of The Fourteenth of September

I knew the Vietnam War had been very divisive in the US and this historical fiction novel details what the country was going through at this time. This book is told through a woman’s eyes which was a very refreshing take on this time period. I really felt I was immersed in the story and the differing and controversial viewpoints. This book is so compelling and well written and I was really invested in the story. The tension was palpable as Judy, the main character, navigates her views and decisions regarding the war. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for greater insight into this turbulent time period.
