Review of The Women

This was one of my most anticipated books of the year and it didn’t disappoint. This book is absolutely amazing! I knew the Vietnam war was controversial but I didn’t know a lot about it before reading this book. The writing is so atmospheric it sweeps us into all the different settings along with Frankie. The amount of research that would have been done for this book is remarkable. The female characters were all so strong and their stories were compelling. My emotions were up and down along with Frankie’s throughout the years. Overall just an exceptional book! This will be one of my top books of the year. If you only read one historical fiction book this year make it this one.
