Review of This Could Be Us

Soledad is enjoying her life - busy with her husband and raising their daughters. Unfortunately this all crashes down when her husband is shockingly arrested and sent to jail. Soledad has to quickly figure out how to make enough money to keep her daughter’s lives as well as her own going smoothly. I really appreciated how resourceful and strong she was as she quickly rallied and got to work being in charge of the family. Along the way she starts a romantic relationship with Judah. His life was also complicated as a divorced father raising his two autistic teenagers. I really felt the autism aspect of the book was well done and I admired Judah’s parenting. Although I did like the book I enjoyed the book previous to this one, Before I Let Go, a bit better.
