Review of Three Days in June

This was an interesting character-driven novel. Gail’s daughter is getting married, and Gail has to navigate her place among the wedding activities. She can be described as socially awkward so this is all quite stressful as she also doesn’t have the closest relationship with her only child. To complicate an already trying time, Gail’s ex-husband shows up and ends up unexpectedly staying with her. The story takes place over three days. There are a lot of complex emotions that Gail goes through during this time. Overall, an interesting and truthful novel that covers different plans, ideals, temperaments, and a look back at prior decisions.
