Review of Under the Palms

If you have ever read a Kaira Rouda book you know you will meet a cast of dysfunctional, lying, and scheming characters and this one delivers all of that and more. I loved the descriptive writing as Laguna Hills California, right as Santa Ana winds are starting and then threatening, is the setting. Of course I tried to solve which character was the worst of the worst but I again guessed wrong. This is the second book in a duology but can definitely be read as a standalone. For a great suspense story about a very deranged family give this book a try!
