Review of Millicent Glenn's Last Wish

Thank you Kathleen Carter Communications and Amazon Publishing for my free review copy. This is an impressive debut novel. The story is based around a multi generational family of three women and we learn about their very different lives. Millicent is the eldest and is the mother and grandmother of the other two characters. She takes us back to what life was like in the early years of her marriage and her struggles to be an independent woman. Her daughter Jane meanwhile has never really understood or been close to her mother for various reasons as we learn throughout the book. Kelsey is their daughter and granddaughter and is also the peacemaker between them. She is now expecting her first child and this brings them full circle as they learn to accept and understand each of their differences. This was an interesting character driven novel and it was fascinating to see these characters reconcile with each other.
