Review of You, Again

I thought I would give this well hyped book a try. The great cover definitely draws you in initially. I have to admit I did struggle with the first third of the book and since it was a library book I thought maybe I would just DNF it. I persevered as I thought maybe I was missing something. I didn’t like the two main characters in the beginning and it took me a long time to warm up to them. As their layers slowly peeled away they began to seem more relatable and that’s when I started to enjoy the book more. I love NYC as a setting so that worked well for me. I’m glad I finished the book as I appreciated the story in the end but I definitely understand why there are mixed reviews for this one. This is a debut novel and I look forward to reading what the author writes next.
